I had 19 stories published in 2015. I won second place for the Jim Baen Memorial Award. I edited Triangulation: Lost Voices. I sold a novel. I bought a house. I started attending two writing groups and made some awesome new author friends. I went to the International Space Development Conference in Toronto and was a panelist at Confluence here in Pittsburgh.

I sent out 269 short story submissions, and my acceptance ratio for the year was around 6%.

I love our house, and since we bought it, I stripped lots and lots of wallpaper, painted, ripped out a wall, built a bar, and lined a room with bookshelves. I got a lot of help from friends and family, which is still very much appreciated.

Overall, it looks like 2015 was a pretty good year. It’s easy to lose focus on the good things, so I’m glad that I had a reason to remind myself of them.
